Our Services

Taras Mykytyn brings extensive experience in the key services noted below… delivering real-world and integrated enterprise-level solutions that are innovative and exceed operational performance needs and functionality; leveraging 40+ years of engineering expertise, extensive domain knowledge, and proven track record in delivering world class operational capabilities and services to mission critical customers with the knowledge base and ability to extend this to the customers in the future. Each service area impacts our daily lives in profound ways and in some cases without even our direct visibility or knowledge. Taras will provide a summary of each service area to set the stage for how they impact us each day, and in the future will address each one in more detail to present what the latest trends, technology, capabilities, products, and services are that should be of interest through this newsletter, blogs, RSS fields, articles, and other information posted on the MykTEK Web site. Each of the service areas were selected because they are intertwined and provide a broader perspective of how we can collectively tackle the challenges in society and the world. The six key service areas to be covered are:

Systems Thinking & Systems Engineering

Systems Thinking incorporates the discipline of Systems Engineering to assess and understand the complexity of systems, their interfaces, major components and services, data flows, systems flows, and interoperability and integration of all pieces into a more complex environment. Systems Thinking fundamentally shifts the perspective from how the pieces interrelate in a complex system and how does the system interrelate with its surroundings and environment. As systems, services, and capabilities get more complex, it’s Systems Thinking and Systems Engineering that will provide greater success in deploying these into a more interoperable world.

Cloud Services dominate in today’s compute, storage, network hosting environments for most corporations and government IT environments. It is critical to leverage the various cloud service provider’s Infrastructure and Platform as-a-services (IaaS & PaaS) to allow business and mission customers to focus on software development, and even take it the next step further in developing these software capabilities into Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for greater re-use for current and future customers. SaaS becomes a strategic imperative to drive operations and missions to the next level of delivering operational capabilities more frequently and with more consistency for multiple customers. Why reinvent the wheel when your organization can leverage IaaS, PaaS and deliver reusable SaaS services and understand the complexity of systems, their interfaces, major components and services, data flows, systems flows, and interoperability and integration of all pieces into a more complex environment.

Artificial Intelligence has been a promising technology for decades but is coming into full fruition and use in operations because of the AI and Machine Learning services being provided by the commercial Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and tremendous increase in computer performance and storage capacity to handle the training, testing, deployment, and automation of AI algorithms for businesses. AI promises to automate data processing, analysis, discovering, correlation, and pattern recognition for very large data sets. This integrated with more advanced operational resource, provisioning, and management services will allow systems and services to become autonomous in their daily routines. Autonomous Systems will continue to learn from embedded sensors, enhance performance with dynamic allocation of available resources, and adjust based on ability to understand and react to operational events and trends, utilizing advanced business rules to gain further autonomy within various industries and manufacturing environments.

Scalable Enterprise Services encompasses the development of a balanced IT environment with software services that can handle the critical data management, data transactions, data processing, analytics, correlation, data management, event correlation, business rules engines, etc. that organizations need to manage and grow their operations to support their enterprise. Ensuring that a systems thinking approach is critical to work through the details of how all the pieces fit together and overall performance and functionality is required for the enterprise services to integrate, interoperate, and scale effectively and efficiently.

Security and Compliance need to be embedded from the beginning in designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and supporting software services within an enterprise. Understanding and continuously monitoring the security posture for the development, integration, and operational environments are critical to successfully operate the enterprise and prevent internal and external threats, hacking, privacy, mission assurance, and insider threats. Integrating compliance services into operations requires upfront engineering and smart services in operations to ensure that policies, regulations, laws, privacy, and integrity are part of the services supporting the enterprise.

DevSecOps is important to streamlining software development activities to deliver software services into operations on a more frequent basis to validate and verify capabilities from an end-user and functionality perspective. Scalable Agile Framework (SAFe) provides a framework to address the full software development lifecycle integrated with corporate and portfolio management, customer engagement, systems engineering, and developing corporate culture for a rapid paced software development life cycle. Both align well with systems engineering principles and ensure repeatable processes and planning activities to bring new capabilities and services into operations.

StEM mentoring

Our future scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians are critical to the success of addressing the challenges and opportunities that our world faces in the future. By supporting STEM programs at the high school and university levels, these future STEM prodigies will impact the work force on multiple levels and continue to persevere in architecting and sculpting the technical solutions and social well-being of our planet.

MykTEK can be contacted below requesting more information or providing general feedback to this newsletter or to our Web site content. This new journey will be jointly pursued with a robust dialogue on how our future can be impacted with systems thinking, systems engineering, core values & principles, and an honest discussion and sharing of information between professionals and people with common interests.
